London, January 4. On Saturday last the Ode for the New
Year, compos'd by Colley Cibber, Esq; Poet Laureat, and set
to musick by Dr. Green was sung before her Majesty and the
rest of the Royal Family at St. James's; the vocal parts by
Mr. Gates, Mr. Row, Mr. Abbot, Mr. Beard, Mr. Lloyd and the
boys of the Royal Chapel; and the instrumental by his
Majesty's Band of Musick.
