Boston, January 2. . . Last Tuesday Mr. John Winthrop,
second son of the Hon. Adam Winthrop, Esq; of this town, was
publickly install'd Hollisian Professor of the Mathematicks
and Philosophy in Harvard-College at Cambridge: The
solemnity was perform'd in the College Hall, with great
decency . . . [24 lines.] The Rev. Dr. Sewall, at the
desire of the President, then prayed; and the solemnity was
concluded with the singing the five first verses of the
148th psalm. . .
