(From the Boston Evening Post.) A letter from Don Blas de
Lezo, the Spanish Admiral at Carthagena, to Don Thomas
Geraldino, late agent for the King of Spain in London. Put
into verse by a Gentleman at Jamaica, and just arrived from
thence.
To thee my friend, tho' now perhaps disgrac'd,
For ill-judg'd conduct; or for bribes misplac'd.
To thee I write the anguish of my heart,
And, undisguis'd, my soul-felt griefs impart.
