Glasgow, June 30. On Tuesday last our Provost received, by
return of an express from Fort Augustus, the colours
belonging to Macdonald of Keppoch, and a letter from his
Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland, ordering the same to
be burnt by the hand of the common hangman in the most
publick part of the city; . . . [7 lines, the colours were]
brought in procession to the bonfire, and after proclaiming
his Royal Highness's order by beat of drum, they were
