Philadelphia, July 21. 1748. Run away, on Sunday last, from
David Lindsay, of Northampton, Bucks County, a Negro man,
named Dove, about 30 years of age, of middle stature, pretty
much pitted with the small-pox, and talks pretty good
English: . . . [7 lines, clothing, and another runaway.]
Whoever takes up and secures said Negro and wench, so as
they may be had again, shall have twenty-shillings reward
for each, and reasonable charges, paid by [signed] David
Lindsay.
N.B. The Negro took with him a fiddle and a pair of
skates.
