The whole being an useful guide to such as desire to read
the holy scriptures to their spiritual comfort and
advantage. Curiously adorn'd with proper cuts, engraven by
Mr. John Sturt. price 4s. 6d.
Where may be had, just published, the ninteenth edition,
corrected and amended. To which is added,
A New Gamut, or Introduction to Psalmody; in a clear and
easy method, for the use of young beginners.
1. The Whole Book of Psalms: Collected into English
metre, by Thomas Sternhold, John Hopkins. &c. With the
usual hymns and spiritual songs: Together with all the
antient and proper tunes sung in churches, with some of
later use. Composed in three parts, and set to musick on
the new ty'd note. In a more plain and useful method than
hath been formerly publish'd, by John Playford.
2. A Supplement to the New Version of Psalms, by Dr.
Brady, and Mr. Tate, with the addition of plain instructions
for those who are desirous to learn or improve themselves in
psalmody.
N.B. Either of the above books may be had bound up with
common-prayers.
