Citation | PG-P.756.104 30 Sep 1756:21 (1449) London, June 22 . . . We have received an account from a gentleman of veracity, that Capt. Charles Catford, commander of the Captain, having received a wound in his thigh in the late engagement, it was proposed to carry him down to the cockpit, on which this brave officer said, "No: This accident will hinder my dancing, but shall not prevent my fighting." Soon after which he died gloriously. |
