Run away from the subscriber, living in Chester Town, Kent
county, Maryland, some time in July last, a Negroe man,
called Scipio, formerly the property of Mr. Marcus Kuhl, of
the city of Philadelphia, and it is very probable is gone
that way; he is a little short thick fellow, speaks broken
English, pretends to be a hatter by trade, and says, he is
intitled to his freedom, and plays well on the banjoe.
Whoever secures the said fellow, so that the subscriber may
have him again, shall have two pistoles reward, if taken out
of the province, and one pistole, besides what the law
allows, if taken in Maryland, and reasonable charges, paid
by [signed] Joseph Nicholson.
