London. Mr. Printer, May 23, 1763.
Be so kind as to recommend the under-written lines to Mr
Hogarth, and beg that they may have a place under his print
of Mr. Wilkes. I am your's, &c. SALL SCRIBBLE.
On faction's pinions rais'd above the crowd,
For George and liberty I cry aloud:
The cousen'd rabble echo forth' the sound.
The grin I wear declares a double face;
My cry for liberty---but mere grimace;
For Judas-like, I wing my subtile way,
And kiss my King and country---to betray.
