Academy in Second-street, Philadelphia, Feb. 2, 1767. To
the public. Mr. Garner, having made an application to Mr.
Douglass, for his assistance in relieving the distresses of
many indigent persons, he became immediately deeply
affected; but having nothing in his power, at this critical
juncture, to contribute to their present relief, yet to
evince his future intent of embracing the earliest
opportunity, and for the present the deepest concern that he
cannot immediately exert his desired benevolence, has been
so humane as to prevail with Mr. Woolls, Miss Wainwright,
Miss Hallum, and others, to attnd at the Assembly-Room, in
Lodge-Alley, on Thursday, the 5th instant, where will by a
concert of vocal and instrumental music; the vocal parts by
Mr. Woolls, Miss Wainwright, and Miss Hallam.
Tickets at 5s. each to be had, at the above Academy, at the
bar of the London-Coffee-house, Mr. Francis's in Water-
street, Mr. Biddle's at the Indian King, Mr. Little at the
Indian Queen, Mr. Hawkins's in Walnut-street, and at Mr.
Burns's in Second-street.
