Location | London |
Citation | PG-P.770.001 4 Jan 1770:21 (2141) London. . . Yesterday being his Majesty's accession to the throne, the bells, at St. Sepulchre's Church, rang from morning till night, most it is said, at the request of Miss Wilkes, the amiable daughter of the celebrated patriot. The bells of a certain parish, not a mile from Fleet- street, were quite mute, from morning to night, no loyal bells in that parish having solicited for the opening of their mouths. |
