Philadelphia, June 14. On Tuesday, the 5th instant, was held
the Anniversary Commencement, in the college of this city,
when the following young gentlemen were admitted to degrees,
viz. . . . [10 lines] After prayers, by the Provost, and the
singing of an anthem, accompanied by the organ, and other
instrumental music, the business of the Commencement
proceeded as follows, vis. . . . [20 lines] 9. The following
Dialogue was spoken by those of the Masters of Arts, viz.
Messeurs  Bankton, Johnson and Swift; the two Airs were also
sung, with great propriety, by Mr. Bankton, accompanied by
the organ, and other instrumental music. . . . [16 lines;
then appears the Dialogue between Amyntor and Damon for a
total of 923 lines.]
