Northampton, Bucks county, July 19, 1780.
I do hereby give information,
A cow broke into my plantation,
About three days before this date,
Her natural marks I will relate;
Besides, I think she other cows doth corn,
For she wears a stick across her horns;
Besides she has a curly pate,
Her face is white, her legs are straight;
She is a stray mischevious beast,
Eight years of age, I think, at least
If the right owner doth appear
Before the last day of this year;
Him prove his right, and charges pay,
Then he may drive his cow away.
