[In Act for the Regulation of the Militia of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, section establishing pay
scale, lacking exact figures:]
And be in further enacted by the authority aforesaid,
that when the militia, or any detachment thereof, are called
out on duty, each sergeant-major shall receive per day;
the drum and fife-major each per day; Quarter-master-
serjeant per day; . . . drummers and fifers, each per
day; . . . including the continental pay, instead of the pay
mentioned in the act aforesaid; . . .
