London Intelligence. London, Thursday, May 5. Being the
thanksgiving day here, canon of Christ-Church Oxford,
preached before their majesties, &c at the chapel royal, St.
James's: The sword of state was carried to and from the
chapel by Lord Hertford: When the following new anthem,
composed by Dr. Boyce was performed.
ANTHEM.
The Lord is King, be the people never so impatient: He
fittest between the cherubims, be the earth never so
unquiet.
O thou sword of the Lord, put up thyself into the scabboard,
rest, and be still.
