The following is sent your for publication, being an exact
relation of the proceedings on Thursday last, relative to
the destruction of a quantity of tea in this town. . .  Many
worthy women, from a conviction of the evil tendency of the
continuing habit of tea-drinking, made free-will offerings
of their respective stocks of the hurtful trash.  On this
occasion the bells were tolled; but it is referred to the
learned whether tolling or ringing would have been more
proper. . .
