Providence. May 19. Last evening arrived here a schooner .
. . bound from New-York to Bermuda . . . The following
articles are extracted from a New York paper which came in
the above prize.
Basseterre (St. Kitts) April 6. . . When Captain Walcott
entered the river, the first estate he came to he took and
plundered, which had such an effect on the rest, as to
induce a speedy capitulation, one article of which was, that
the loss sustained by the first planter should be paid for
by the community at large. He brought away a number of
their soldiers, and their whole band of music. This may
afford the 28th regiment an opportunity of getting a band. .
