Antibes, Feb. 9. O.S. Fifty men have been detached from
each battalion, in order to besiege the forts which the
Austrians are in possession of in the Isles of St. Margaret
and St. Honorat. It is judged, by the arrival of several
English men of war, and six transports full of soldiers,
which have within a day or two cast anchor in the Gulf of
Gian, that the Austrians designs to keep possession of those
forts: A couple of drummers were sent to summon the
garrison to surrender, from whom the English received the
commission they were charged with, but would let them pass
no further.
