Dublin, March 7. Last Wednesday there was a most grand
superb ball, at the Theatre Royal in Augier Street at which
were present his grace the Duke of Dorset, and many of the
principal nobility and gentry of both sexes. . . . A fine
concert of vocal and instrumental musick, the voices and
instrument being dispersed in different parts of the house,
which made the most melodious harmony. After the concert
was over, there was a most elegant supper . . . After the
supper the ball was opened, which was conducted with the
greatest regularity and politeness; and it is remarkable,
that during all these amusements, there was a not the least
accident.
