[London.] April 17. . . The reencountre at Paris, in which
the honourable Mr. Hamilton has lately been engaged, is
related to have been as follows: The Duke de Maurepas, and
the Duke de Vileroy's son, were together in a box at the
play-house, and the latter gentleman leaving his seat to go
upon the stage to one of the actresses, Mr. Hamilton, who
had been standing behind, asked leave of the Duke to sit
down 'till his return; which the other perceiving, came back
in his heat; and after much ill language, laid his hand on
his sword, and carried Mr. Hamilton behind the scenes, where
they drew; and Mr. Hamilton run him twice thro' the body. .
