By authority. By the American Company, at the new theatre,
in Southwark, on Friday, the 26th of December, will be
presented, a tragedy called
Theodosius, or, The Force of Love.
With a view of the grand altar, as at the first
establishment of the Christian religion at Constantinople.
The vision of Constantine the great, a bloody cross in the
air, with these words, In hoc signo vinces, &c. &c. &.c
Varanes by Mr. Hallam, Theodosius by Mr. Morris, Marcian
by Mr. Douglass, Atticus by Mr. Tomlinson, Leontine by Mr.
Allyn, Aranthes by Mr. Wall, Lucius by Mr. Wools,
Pulcheria by Mrs. Harman, Marina by Miss Hallam, Flavilla
by Miss Wainwright, Julia by Miss Dowthwait, Delia by Mrs.
Tomlinson, Athenais by Miss Cheer, with the usual music:
the vocal parts by Mr. Wools, Miss Wainwright, Miss Hallam,
Mrs. Morris, &c. &c.
To which will be added,
Lethe, or, Aesop in the Shades.
To begin exactly at six o'clock---Vivant Rex & Regina.
No persons can possibly be admitted behind the scenes.
Tickets are sold at the London coffee-house, at Mr.
Fraunces's in Water-Street, at Mr. Hawkins's in Walnut
Street, and of Mrs. Scott in Lombard Street; where places
for the boxes may be had.
