By authority.  By the American Company, at the new theatre,
in Southwark, on Friday, the 9th of January, will be
presented, a tragedy called 
Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.
Hamlet by Mr. Hallam. The King by Mr. Douglass. Horatio by a
young gentleman, (being his second appearance.) Laertes by
Mr. Wall,  Polonius by Mr. Morris,  Ghost by Mr. Tomlinson, 
Ostrick by Mr. Godwin,  Player King by Mr. Allyn,  Bernardo
by Mr. Platt,  Rosincraus by Mr. Woolls,  Player Queen by
Mrs. Harman. Grave-diggers by Messrs. Morris and Tomlinson.
Ophelia by Miss Cheer,  Queen by Mrs. Douglass.
With entertainments, viz. singing by Mr. Woolls; dancing by
Mr. Godwin.
To which will be added, 
The Mock Doctor, or, The Dumb Lady Cur'd.
To begin exactly at six o'clock---Vivant Rex & Regina.
No persons can possibly be admitted behind the scenes.
Tickets are sold at the London coffee-house, at Mr.
Frauncis's in Water-Street, at Mr. Hawkins's in Walnut-
Street, and of Mrs. Scott in Lombard-Street; where places
for the boxes may be had.
Box 7s. 6d.  Pit 5s.  Gallery 3s.
*The director of the theatre begs leave to assure the town
that, for the future, no audience, be it ever so small, will
be disappointed, upon any account whatsoever, and that the
play advertised will be certainly performed.
