Positively the last night of acting this season. By
authority. For the benefit of Mr. Broadbelt. By the
American Company, at the new theatre, in Southwark, this
present Thursday, the second of July, will be presented, a
tragedy called
The Gamester.
Beverly by Mr. Hallam, Stukely by Mr. Douglass, Lewson by
Mr. Wall, Jarvis by Mr. Morris, Dawson by Mr. Allyn,
Bates by Mr. Broadbelt, Charlotte by Mrs. Harman, Lucy
(with a song) by Miss Wainwright, Mrs. Beverly, by Miss
Cheer. The epilogue by Miss Cheer.
With entertainments, viz. singing by Mr. Woolls and Miss
Wainwright.
After the play, a dance called
The Coopers.
Clown by Mr. Godwin, Master by Mr. Wall.
A hornpipe by Mr. Mathews. To which will be added, a farce
called
The Reprisal, or, The Tars of Old-England.
Monsieur Champignon by Mr. Allyn, Lieutenant O'Clabber by
Mr. Morris, Ensign McClaymore, by Mr. Douglass, Block by
Mr. Hallam, Lieutenant Lyon by Mr. Broadbelt, Heartly by

Tickets are sold at the London coffee-house, at Mr.
Hawkins's in Walnut-Street, by Mr. Broadbelt at Mr. Black's
near the theatre, and at Mrs. Scott's in Lombard-Street, at
which last office, places in the boxes may be taken. Box
7s. 6d Pit 5s. Gallery 3s.
Mr. Broadbelt had declined taking a benefit on account of
the heat of the weather, and the great expences of the
house, for which reason Miss Hallam's was advertised for the
last: But his friends having since assured him of their
interest, and represented to him the great reputation The
Gamester is in with the public, would probably be of some
service to him, he has altered his resolution.
