of some mirth in a polite circle, you are desired to give

ON NOTHING.
What can satisfy av'rice, ambition and pride;
What can make a young bridegroom detest his fair bride?
Or what make a grave lawyer return you his fee?
Or a surly proud pedant be social and free?
