Sarah Hay, from New York, has opened a boarding school, in
Arch Street, between Second and Front-Streets, were she
takes boarding and day scholars, and teaches reading in the
most perfect manner, repeating, singing, and all sorts of
plain work, dresden, crown, net, and coloured work, and
takes particular car to implant the principals of religion
and virtue in the minds of the children, to render them
capable to receive good impressions, and teaches them a
proper manner of speaking and genteel behavior: Her prices
will be very reasonable, and the ladies that favour her with
their children, may depend on her utmost care in improving
them.
