Just printed, published, and now selling at Bell's book-
store in Third-street (price two thirds of a dollar, )
The Maid of the Oaks, a new dramatic entertainment, as it is
performed at the Theatre-Royal in Drury-lane.
Here is a show as brilliant as at Cox's--
Laugh for the pit--and may be at the boxes--
Touches of passion, tender, though not tragic,
Strokes at the times-a kind of lanthorn magic;
Song, chorus, frolick, dance, and rural play,
The merrymaking of a wedding day. [from] Prologue.
Also now selling at said book store (price two thirds of a
dollar)
The Romance of an Hour, a new comedy of two acts, as it is
performed, with universal applause, at the Theatre-Royal in
Covent-Garden. Written by Hugh Kelly, Esq; of the Middle
Temple, author of False Delicacy, A Word to the Wise,
Clementian, The School for Wives, &c. &c.
He brings, indeed, a character in view,
From Indian climes, he trusts, intirely new--
A poor Gentoo, compos'd of virtue all,
Tho' fresh from English nabobs at Bengal. [from] Prol.
N.B. Books for books are given in exchange, or ready money
for old books, by Robert Bell, at his book store next door
to St. Paul's Church in Third-street, Philadelphia.
