Philadelphia. . . [2 paragraphs] On Sunday last, being the
anniversary of the independence of America, his excellency
the President and the honourable the members of congress . .
. went, by invitation from the honourable the minister of
France, to the Catholic chappel, where this great event was
celebrated by a well adapted discourse, pronounced the
minister's chaplain, and Te Deum solemnly sung by a number
of very good voices, accompanied by the organ and other
kinds of music.
