Jefferson, dated Hilsborough, Nov. 1st, 1780.
Sir, Last night Colonel Campbell, who commanded our
victorious troops in the action of the 7th ultimo at King's
Mountain, arrived here. He has delivered to me to inclosed

Of the regulars, one major, one captain, two serjeants,
and 15 privates killed; thirty-five privates wounded, left
on the ground not able to march; two captains, four
lieutenants, three ensigns, one surgeon, five serjeants,
three corporals, one drummer, and 49 privates, taken
