London. . . Sept. 18. A correspondent assures us, that the
following is an exact copy of a letter, written by a
celebrated Dentist, dancing-master, and would be Master of
the Bath Ceremonies, to a brother professor. From this
short specimen of his abilities, the public cannot surely
entertain a doubt of his superlative qualifications for the
polite office which he solicits with so much modesty:
"Sir, I heres as how you have spret it about that I cannot
dance at all which I thinks very illiberal and that I keeps
a bawdy house for the black leg'd games as you are pleased
to call them which I thinks is very iliberal and becoming a
gentleman, therefore I writes to you to let you know you are
a puppy and a monky and this I will maintain in any hop in
Christendom and you also sais that I am a slubberdegullion
and nos nothing about mending the teeth for which you are a
Jackanapes, and I have a huge mind to nock some of your down
your throte which is all at present from yours to command
