On Tuesday, at Drury-Lane Theatre, in the Entertainment of the Camp, when Mr. Gage, the exciseman, was relating his having sent lime for the soldiers hair, instead of flour, for which he narrowly escaped being tied to the halberts, he added, "but, as I knew I was in the wrong, I demanded a Court-Martial on the Serjeant." The stroke was felt, and the audience marked their approbation by three loud plaudits. |
