A. Quesnay, and several of the young gentlemen, students of
the French language,
Being informed that the Poor in the Pennsylvania Hospital,
and the virtuous American Soldiery in the Barracks of
Philadelphia, are exceedingly distressed for the common
necessities of life; and requested by a number of ladies and
gentlemen on this city:-- a second Representation of
Eugenie, with the Farce of the Cheat of Scapin, will be
performed on Friday, the 11th instant. The Director would
be very glad to give another play, but the distress of the
poor will not admit of it, as it will take some time to
study it. There will be exhibited various Dances, and
Illuminations, but no fire-works, because of the smoke.
The tickets will be sold at Mr. Bailey's, Printer, and Mr.
Marshal's. next door to the Play-House. No admittance
behind the scenes.
