Salem, March 20. Last Thursday, about 5 o'clock in the
morning, a fire broke out in the Printing-Office of Mr. John
Mycall of Newbury-Port, by which, that and about 11 other
buildings were consumed; . . .
Mr. Mycall's loss by the above accident is very great.
Besides two printing-presses and nearly 6000lb. of types, he
lost 12 or 14 thousand psalm books, spelling books, psalters
and other books, bound and in sheets, and a number of other
articles of value.
