Joseph Carrier, School-Master at Marseilles, in France,
Who understands sufficiently English, has established there
in society with other well informed men, and under the
approbation of Government, a new Academy of Education,
calculated for the inhabitants of a city of commerce.
He teaches, perfectly and by principles, French, Latin,
Greek and Italian; Writing, Drawing, Arithmetic, Geography,
Mathematics, History, Navigation, Fencing, Dancing, Singing,
and other useful or agreeable arts and sciences will
likewise be taught.
Scholars will be admitted from the age of six years to 12.
They will be treated as friends of the nation, carefully
instructed and nourished for the sum of Twenty Four Pounds
Sterling a year.
