Mr. Brown, Having been prevailed on by several gentlemen to
continue his stay in this city, and being inclined to
gratify them, he now offers for their and the public's
entertainment, Two Concerts,
The first of which to be on Thursday the 16th instant, and
the other on the 28th instant, both of which to be performed
at the City Tavern, under the direction of the said Brown.
One subscription paper will be left at the said tavern, and
another sent about the city, to either of which gentlemen
may subscribe to, as conveniency or inclination may lead.
The price to subscribers will be as in his last, viz. Half a
guinea to each person for the two concerts, who are to be
furnished with red tickets so as to answer for both the
evenings.
Tickets for admission to non-subscribers will be signed in
black, the price of which to be one dollar and a half for
each concert.
To render the entertainment the more agreeable, Mr. Brown
proposes that exclusive of the overtures, solo's, lessons,
&c. there be some harmony music; the performances of which
at his last concert having given such general satisfaction.-
- He further proposes to perform some well known Scotch
