Extract of a letter from Brussels.
The Duchess of C___d has lately left this city in great
disgust, though it was expected she would have staid during
the winter; the cause is as follows: She had taken two boxes
at the Theatre, which she had laid into one, and had new
lined and decorated them in a very unusual and particular
manner. The nobility of this Court, and among them the
Duchess D'Arembarg, took fire at this distinction, which had
never been suffered before, even to the most illustrious
visitors; the consequence of which was an immediate order
for reducing the premises to their former station; The
Duchess of C__d in vain remonstrated against this
proceeding, but was informed it was contrary to the
etiquette of the Court, and could not be complied with. . .
