Charles-Town, October 11. Last Monday being the anniversary
of the ever memorable repulse and defeat of the combined
forces of the American Rebels, and their great and good
Ally, at the lines of Savannah, the same was celebrated
here. The morning was ushered in with the ringing of bells,
and in the afternoon a numerous company of the British and
Hessian officers in town, officers of the royal navy,
officers of the militia, and a number of other gentlemen,
dined together at the concert room, where an elegant
