General Rochambeau's headquarters, and before dinner the
officers of the several corps came and paid him their
respects: The town ran together to devise a mode in which
they might evidence their joy on the occasion: To illuminate
the town was the result of the meeting: At night the candles
were lighted: Ringing the bells, and every demonstration of
joy marked the evening: About ten the General, a large
number of officers and inhabitants of the town supped with
Baron Viomina, and about eleven he retired to his quarters.
