To the Public. Edward Bardin, has open'd the noted tavern
at the corner house in the Fields, formerly kept by John
Jones, where ladies and gentlemen may depend upon the best
entertainment and attendance--The Pantry opened every
evening precisely at 7 o'clock, and a cloth laid with the
following dishes.
gammon roast ducks
roast beef roast chickens
roast veal lobsters
roast mutton pickled oysters
roast lamb custards
Tarts of different kinds, chicken pies ready for suppers
every night. Tea and coffee every afternoon, with several
other articles too tedious to mention. Entertainments
provided at the shortest notice, and every thing that is
called for served up at a minutes warning.
He has a large commodious room, fit for balls or
assemblies.
He returns the ladies and gentlemen his most hearty thanks
for their past favours, and hopes for the continuance of
their custom, which will be acknowledged with gratitude by
their humble servant, [signed] Edward Bardin.
