AN EPITAPH.
The evil that men do, live after them.
Shakespear.
Disappointed
By many fruitless attempts
To disturb the happiness of society;
Dejected
With the contempts which justly
Pursued him to the grave--
Here sleep the perishing atoms of
Doctor Price,
Patriot and Mathematician,
Who in his life, neglected
Divinity for politics,
And employed his time and talents
In the support of a faction
Which would have been wisely spent
In providing for the salvation of his Soul!
