Corbet, &c.

The Monody to be recited at the Theatre Royal To-Morrow
Evening is one of the first Poetic Compositions of John
James Pratt, Esq; of Bath (under the signature of Courtney
Melmouth) he has very judiciously cull'd from Shakespeare
the language each character uses. This piece gained the
prize at Bath Easton Vase; 'tis a most elegant compliment
to the memory of Garrick, a truly laborious undertaking to a
performer, requiring the utmost precision and exertion; we
are led to hope Mr. Henry has received so much instruction
from his Preceptor, the justly celebrated Thomas Sheridan,
Esq; as to render it ample justice.
