On passing the bill (yesterday) to prohibit the importation of foreign wrought silks, &c. several thousand weavers went to St. James's, with streamers flying, and drums beating, to thank his Majesty. In their way home, they halted before the Mansion house, and the musick played God Save the King; they then gave three cheers and marched on. |
