Dancing and fencing. T. Pike takes this method of
acquainting the patrons and guardians of the young ladies
and gentlemen under his care that he continues to teach
dancing as usual all the year round at his school opposite
John Izard's, esq., in Church Street, every Thursday and
Saturday. The other days he tends the boarding school.
Ladies taught privately in their own houses. Gentlemen
instructed every evening. Any set of eight ladies or
gentlemen may be taught the fashionable cotillions at their
own houses. The use of the small sword taught at his school
every morning in the week from five o'clock to nine. N. B.
His next ball will be in the last week in November, by which
time he hopes to have a proper room to accommodate the
company.
