London, September 29. Last night their Majesties were at
the Theatre Royal at Drury Lane to see the dramatick piece
of Cymon and The Devil to Pay. The spectators saluted their
Majesties on their entrance and on their leaving the theatre
with the warmest testimonies of affection. The song in the
farce, "Here's a good health to the King and send him a
prosperous reign, &c." was received with the greatest
acclamations by the audience. A voice from the gallery at
the end of the song echoed "Amen, and confusion to the
French and Spaniards!" which produced a long and universal
plaudit.
