political editorial aimed at Alderman Wilkes of London.] A
Peep behind the Curtain. Scene: a room in the facetious
alderman's house. The alderman at a writing desk. Enter a
servant. My lord Mayor, sir. A. Wilkes Desire him to walk
in--a booby!--[aside] Enter [illeg.] W. Your Lordship's
most obedient. You seem to be in the dumps today, My Lord.
