Naples, January 14. . . his Royal Highness (the Duke of
Gloucester) paid his compliments to the King and Queen of
the Two Sicilies, who received him with every demonstration
of friendship and cordiality; their Majesties carried his
Royal Highness to the private theatre of the Court, where a
comick opera was performed by a company brought for that
occasion from one of the publick. . . On Sunday evening his
Royal Highness went to the great theatre, which was
illuminated, it being the King's birthday. . .
