Dancing & Fencing. Pike's Academy for Dancing and Fencing
was opened for the ensuing season on Thursday the 19th of
September instant, at his New Assembly Rooms in Church
Street. The use of the small sword taught every morning
from five o'clock to nine. Young ladies and gentlemen
instructed in dancing every Thursday and Saturday. An
evening school for gentlemen every evening in the week from
six o'clock to nine. Having four days at liberty every
week, he proposes to wait upon ladies or gentlemen at their
own houses to instruct them in any branch of dancing they
may chuse. He takes this opportunity of acquainting the
parents and guardians of his scholars that his ball will be
on Tuesday the 8th of December next; hopes they will send
them as early as possible, that he may be enabled to
compleat his figures in a proper manner.
