honour the Lieutenant-Governour.  at the New Theatre, by the
American Company, on Monday next, May 16th, 1774, The
Tragedy of
Douglas.
Douglas, by Mr. Hallam;  Lord Randolph, by Mr. Douglass; 
Glenalvon, by Mr. Henry;  Old Nerval, by Mr. Morris; 
Officer, by Mr. Hughes;  Anna, by Miss Storer;  Lady
Randolph, by Mrs. Douglass.
To which will be added, 
The Devil to Pay; or, The Wives Metamorphosed.
Sir John Loverule, by Mr. Woolls;  Jobson, by Mr. Henry; 
Butler, by Mr. Morris;  Lettice, by Mrs. Davies; Nell, by
Miss Storer.
Boxes, 35s. Pit, 25s. Gallery, 20s.  No money will be taken
at the doors, nor any person admitted without tickets, which
are sold at Mr. Welles's, the Great Stationary and Book
Store, and by Mr. John Calvert in Church Street.
Places in the boxes to be had of Mr. John Calvert.  As it is
almost impossible that the performers can do their
characters that justice their duty to the publick requires,
when the stage is crowded, as it has been for several nights
past: Mr. Douglass, at the earnest desire, not only of the
performers, but of a very numerous and respectable part of
the audience, begs leave to inform the town that no person,
on any account whatsoever will be admitted at the stage
door; and he is well assured that, after this
representation, no gentlemen will insist upon it.  Both the
above plays may be had at Mr. Wells's store.
