On Friday afternoon, about four o'clock, their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cumberland, with their retinue, landed at Dover in one of Mr. Minet's boats from Calais. . . Their Royal Highnesses left Dover immediately after dinner, and arrived at Canterbury at half an hour past seven; the bells were rung, and a very numerous populace seemed to give their Royal Highnesses a most hearty welcome to their own country. |
