To be sold by public outcry, at ten o'clock in the forenoon
of Wednesday the 17th of May next, if a fair day, if
otherwise, on the first fair day thereafter, at the
apartments in the old barracks lately possessed by the
deceased Mr. James Macalpine. [In the following 24-line
description of the deceased's possessions are these musical
items:] A choice collection of musick; several musical
instruments, among which are bass viols, two clavichords, a
bell harp; a great many German and common flutes; and
several violins, some of them very good. . . John Deas,
