Citation | SCAGG.775.046 11-18 Aug 1775:23 (18/884) On Tuesday the 9th instant was completed the subterraneous tunnel at Norwood hill, upon the line of the canal navigation from Chesterfield to the river Trent, when three vessels sailed through the same with not less than 300 people on board, amongst whom were Mr. Henshall, the engineer, with several of the principal workmen, attended with a band of musick.
